At what point do those rules of engagement change in our approach to a God that truly has been made "Lord" over our person?
Many people gauge others by way of their said "Agenda's". This is especially so across genders but that's not my focus. Some might suggest a persons "Motives", yet what is truly being recognized when we say this?
Are we cross examining what another person wants or expects out their own life when we engage them in conversation or is it more about our similarities in case of our own unseen future need?
Many people fill their lives with other people and for many different reasons.
On paper this might sound like My barber or My mechanic, My friends or even My God.
Two people can have the same barber, the same Mechanic, and tell themselves they share the same friends, yet at what point does the importance of how all of the above also personally treat you stand in contrast to how "They" also treat others while under "your" observation?
That is suggest as if the Same things are on the table of consideration which also defines the "office" each holds?
A person can tell themselves they don't approach the Lord in much the same way, yet in terms of looking for proof or the evidence as something to be trusted, how long before the performance of God then gets catalogued in our minds much the same way?
How much of "You" determines the performance of any of those mentioned? You "Pay" your mechanic and your Barber just like anyone else so naturally because the same medium of exchange (money) is being expressed you also expect there to be no differences in those relationships/transactions, right?
How true is this with your God?
The same God you seem to have such a large difference of opinion about than so many others? So much so that you can't maintain a lengthy and meaningful conversation about Him with someone outside of your "understood" comfort zone? That is to suggest it won't take long before you discover the vast difference of opinions which concern "Your God"?
Within this context how does the word "Same" interpret? What defines how "My" anything which finds its home in our lives?
Are we looking only to be in agreement with others OR are we diligently seeking the truth in order to be in agreement with the "Truth" and that with or without others being in agreement with us?
How important then does the outward "Demonstration" of one's faith then become?
Are we only considering a persons ability to pass judgement on themselves or are we worried their same inability to judge themselves will be superimposed on our person and how we get interpreted?
Is it only that we're weighing the "Balance sheet" as to how they've ruled their own lives or are we as believers looking for the evidence of the "Same" God that IS a dominate "presence" also in their lives?
To NOT be yoked to unbelievers truly is good counsel, yet it's often hard to distinguish as important in terms of how others allow their lives to governed AND what we try to compare our own lives to at the risk of becoming clouded as the result of being spiritually immature
2 Cor 6:13-14
As a fair exchange — I speak as to my children — open wide your hearts also.
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
NIV
How easy is it to misread the fear of rejection and confuse it with a godly fear of "Compromise"?
How much does the affect(s) the Holy Spirit has on you then become the essence of what You hope is then since seen by others?
How much of "Your God" then reflects on you when the Introduction gets made as if He is your Lord, God and Savior? Where does Appreciation, True Reverence, Gratitude, Honor and the likes of Respect then reflect on the Lord you now claim as "Lord" whom actually has become "LORD" over You?
Especially once you come to understand the word "Lord" to also mean one who dominates?
How easy is it to talk to someone that doesn't have much to say in return? Especially when we clearly understand that "Conversation" is the "exchange" of ideas as compared to the one way "Monologue".
If this were truly understood what is God suggesting below? How often is the occasion discovered in the context of all that defines "Conversation" when God does all the talking (Monologue)?
Have you ever examined the likeness of the word "Convert" and what most people hope takes place through the process of a healthy "Conversation"?
Isa 1:18
"Come now, let us reason together ," says the LORD.
NIV
Have you ever asked yourself or God, "Why is the reading of Job one of the least understood books in the bible"? Could it have anything to do with the element of time? Time as if a divisive distance which separates the understanding of two people? How peculiar is Job thought to be or even God when we read of God addressing Him directly?
Why do most fail to share in Job's understanding and approach to God in order to be able to relate to God as he did however many thousands of years ago?
I specifically chose Job because its widely accepted that the story of Job in the bible is the "Oldest" one revisited through its telling.
Why is God more often seen as a God of "Re-sponse" instead of a "Proactive" God that leads you? Lead you to mean "Lead you away from danger before a fall?
Many enjoy being picked up after they fall, yet how many resist proactive measures taken that look to "Prevent" you from falling again and again?
Sounds like a parent interacting with a small child that's learning to walk doesn't it?
Think about it? If you've prayed very much most at least know the Lords prayer which includes, "Lead me AWAY from temptation and Deliver me from evil", yet how do we then find ourselves once back our knee's asking for forgiveness?
Yes I know "We're all imperfect", but how many are even slower learners or even further rebellious or resistant when it comes to "Order" and our own approach to the way the word "Discipline" has been understood?
At what point does a child make the connection between earthly parents and a sovereign God? Does this suggestion ONLY mean Parents who watch over your physical presence (the physical address of your spirit and soul)?
At what point does the suggestion of a "Parent" interpret as someone who also has vision (one that can see)?
The world today has been caught up in the demonstrative power of "Apps". We use them on our phones and on our computers as if an instrument in order to help us not only interpret the world around us but often to guide us dependent upon the capabilities of the specific "App".
Some might suggest their introduction has made it easier to navigate this life. What is a "Navigator"? What is the operational capacity of someone or something that does navigate?
When something becomes "Apparent" to you what does that suggest? Is it only the matter that you can now see something you didn't before? How important then does the "Opinion" of another person then become as such that weighs in on what you can now see?
The opinion of the world around you would argue that "Religion" is nothing more than what your parents teach you. They taught you what they did because their Parents taught them and so on down the line much like looking down a row of fence post.
What the mind (influence) of the surrounding world is hoping to accomplish is to get as many people as possible to distrust their primary source of "Information". Information to suggest what has been formed within you as if Your "Opinion of the surrounding world" that you now have to try and "Navigate" as you grow up and move about in that world of ever evolving opinions that also cause people to do what they each do.
Just think if there was anything that also interprets as "Power" what if One entity could somehow gain control as if the "Primary" source where everyone is then "Informed" about the said "World" one and the same way or for that matter a billion "Different opinions" about the same thing?
Is it any wonder why the thought of being unique has been so seductive to humanity through his history?
Many people get the thought of being considered unique confused with thoughts of "Freedom". It's true that it's very hard to be unique in a controlling world, but in light of what I hope was conveyed above isn't the primary objective of Christianity about being ONE with God?
And if you resist the thought of being under the influence of any "Singular" (One) informing source, Truly what is the struggle really about in this life? Is it all only about what you do right or wrong? Is more about refusing to grow up in the ways of God? As if One way of life that will also lead you to become One with Him?
Is life and friendship and being unique only about maintaining freedom OR is about maintaining a rift between any two people so they can't compare their "Notes" they've taken through the years having personally observed you and this "World'?
Some might label this as "Power" or "Control" yet what is the difference in the mind of someone that deeply desires to be different than everybody else?
Have you ever seen what these police shows portray when two suspected "Perps" are brought in for questioning? What's the first thing they do to them? They separate them so they can't compare stories, right?
What's the difference in an otherwise good context of that same picture as one might see in a Jury deliberating room where 12 witnesses are sequestered?
Do they separate them or do they put them in on top of each other in order for their corporate mind to weigh the evidence? Do they also get told NOT to discuss what gets shared in that room with anyone outside that room before the judge hears their corporate vote cast in terms of someone else's guilt or innocence?
People are more and more suggesting, "Don't judge me" yet if that is true then don't ever sit in a Jury pool! You can argue your not judging while on jury duty, but you are weighing "Evidence" that speaks aren't you?
How much then does each persons historically formed "Opinion" count in a jury room or does it truly weigh out to be more about about how little each person understands the letter of the "Law" in terms of what is to be considered "Right" vs "Wrong"?
No names of faces being mentioned, but if subject "A" takes something that does not belong to them what is this subject considered to be based on the evidence? Are you judging the person or are you determining if something did NOT belong to subject "A" in order to render his/her actions as theft?
Notice there are No Names or faces mentioned below, only the verdict and the actions of an yet to be named being? Who then determines what "Evil" is?
John 3:19-21
This is the verdict : Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
NIV
If this process were to get corrupted, can you see why a defense attorney would never want any Two people that share the same views to be in the jury room? How much more the consideration of any two or more also being devout Christians (firm believers in ONE and the SAME God)?
I only presented the courtroom setting as the venue to express my point because today there are so few venues where people are truly expected to sit in agreement outside of some labeled and presumed biased organization.
Lets review the heart of Christianity and see what's in that heart. This life and the experiential quality of this life has everything to do with "How" certain contributors OR distractions discovered in this life have since become "Apparent".
And what makes them "Apparent" if not the parental oversight of the "Light of what is the "Truth?
1 Cor 6:17
But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
NIV
It's easily understood when talking about spirit at a pep rally where everyone is gathered as if for One cause. The type of cause where the winner gets determined by the Score Board at the end of a game, yet why is it so difficult when we read about the spirit of Christ?
Does our spirit ever change in these type of venues or have anything to do with the rules of the Game or the Bias of the officiating crew on the field once the final whistle blows?
Everyone Loves their own version of the Top (winning) athlete's enough to where their Numbered Jersey's are worn around the globe, yet what about other winners we know?
Matt 26:64
Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."
NIV
If you told someone you were a "Martian" what would be assumed besides the thought that you might be crazy, yet If you told them you were a Christian what gets assumed? Especially when life on Mars and a man named Jesus who walked on water are both doubtful in the mind an otherwise "Obvious" minority?
And truly what is the miraculous unless it's something that comes from the realm of what has NOT been clearly and mutually understood (accepted)?
John 15:21
They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me.
NIV
Eph 5:31-32
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." This is a profound mystery — but I am talking about Christ and the church
NIV
As if believers In Christ who ar supposedly One with Him in Spirit, we truly are without excuse in terms of what we say we can't see.
Especially when we conclude among ourselves there is insufficient evidence to prove us "Right or Wrong" and that being determined by a Judge that has no Bias as it pertains to the performance of anyone One person except Christ.
God has gone to great lengths to put on display ALL that needs to be seen in order to understand Him, yet why does man keep messing with His "Display"?
The truth will be Your Parent, yet only when it becomes "Apparent" to you enough that you "Believe" Him and do as He suggest!
John 15:10-15
If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command.
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business.
Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
NIV
