Happy New Year to the New creation and its resolution

Gal 6:12-16
Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.

Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh.

May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation .

Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God.

NIV

True provision begins with the Faith, Hope and Love in Jesus the Christ who's also believed to be True. sw

There are many copies of many things in this world yet there is only One original. sw

The counterfeiter trust in what the eyes of assumption have failed to see. sw

Having the advantage is to know the interpretation of a matter before it repeats itself. sw

Sin that is clearly understood to be common to man does not suggest that it's something that hasn't been practiced. sw

When the battle truly belongs to the Lord so too does the glory of victory. sw

There is a reason why righteousness is not considered commonly accepted among men. sw

Is silence alone truly a virtue or is it wisdom that has matured that causes a man to be timely in his silence. sw

Is the measurement of life to be Ruled by a ruler or measured by the Ruler whose also been made Lord. sw

Left feeling guilty is to suggest mercy left without further opportunity to find its way. sw

The thought of obtaining grace without first finding mercy is arrogance. sw

Saying what needs to be said in the moment is but a partial reflection of what is right in the end. sw

Passing the test of maturity is to gain the respect of the one that's testing to see if you've found the way to overcome an assumed common weakness. sw

Knowing what is right and truly believing what leads to being found right can prove to be worlds apart. sw

At what point does the mind of the fisherman enjoy finding the right bait more rewarding than the entire fishing event. sw

Knowing what makes you mad is only half the battle, sw

What leads the hunted to freedom is in knowing what habits and predictable traits also lead the hunter to you. sw

Titus 3:3-11
At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures.

We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.

He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.

Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him.

You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

NIV

2 Cor 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation ; the old has gone, the new has come!

  1. I think you probably have a write up that could be attached to each of your own quotes above, I particularly like and agree with this one:-
'Knowing what is right and truly believing what leads to being found right can prove to be worlds apart. sw'

this is why I believe trials and testing are essential in proving God's word true and strengthening us.

  2. I used to resent the essence of word(s) such as "Discipline, Obey, and Authority" because of their historical presentation.

Only when such words get "Re-presented and Received" in the light of Love will their true sound ever be heard as anything more than a "tinkling" brass Cymbal.

Now that I've learned more about and made the choice to believe that God disciplines those He loves, somehow it leads me to the conclusion that agree's with Jesus when He said, "Only God is Good" and the importance of the additional commentary of God, "Let.... God be true and every man a liar".

  3. Amen to what you have said about 'Only God is Good', after all, it was Jesus who said that. I have always seen the 'discipline, obey an authority' as the love of God for us as a true 'Father', who wants the best for us. How can we come to know, and have what is truly best for us, without being disciplined and being obedient to the teaching of the One who has the authority.

I have always felt love in being taught God's ways, which are far different to the ways of the carnal mind.
    God bless.
